Canadian born Major League Baseball hall-of-famer Ferguson Jenkins has been immortalized today on the face of postage stamp. Jenkins signed autographs at the downtown Post Office branch and then attended an official unveiling with Mayor Gregor Robertson across the street at the Vancouver Public Library. The ceremony was followed up by a screening of the 1974 NFB documentary, “King of the Hill,” highlighting Jenkin’s ’72 -’73 season with the Chicago Cubs.
The Ferguson Jenkins postage stamp is part of a Black History Month campaign to honour iconic figures in Canadian history.

These are great photos Matt. His face shows a lot of character. I bet he would like to have a copy. Did you send these to any of the newspapers? You certainly should.
